Innovating for Sustainability and Creating New Opportunities: FCS at TAIMOLD 2024

FCS (Fu Chun Shin) will participate in the Taipei International Smart Mold & Die Industry Fair 2024 (TAIMOLD) with its all-electric machines and applications, characterized by "Precision, Energy Efficiency, Intelligence, and Cleanliness." From August 21 to 24, at booth S820 on the 4th floor of Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2, FCS will present a one-stop solution for injection molding, covering precision molds, material technology, recycled plastic pallets, smart manufacturing factories, and more. All-Electric Injection Machine: CT-80e

The FCS CT-e all-electric injection molding machine offers high efficiency, stability, and energy savings, consuming 55% less energy compared to traditional injection machines. With the growing emphasis on ESG issues worldwide, this machine has garnered significant attention since its launch in 2019, with over 300 units sold.

The CT-e series employs high-end European servo systems, controllers, and Ethernet bus technology, achieving injection control accuracy of 0.01mm and material storage speed control accuracy within ±0.5rpm. Its advanced closed-loop pressure control ensures faster and more precise mold adjustments. Additionally, the machine is equipped with intelligent low-pressure mold protection and injection compression functions, greatly reducing the risk of mold damage and stress. At the exhibition, FCS will showcase the 80-tonf clamping force all-electric machine, demonstrating the mass production of vibrant “pocket combs” with a 25-second cycle time for a 4-cavity mold — highlighting its capability in precision and clean production.

iMF4.0 smart manufacturing factory

FCS has been proactively developing intelligent solutions for its clients, launching the iMF 4.0 Smart Manufacturing Factory system (intelligent Manufactory) as early as 2017. Integrated with injection molding machines, this system can interconnect peripheral devices, autonomously adjust settings, and control quality parameters. The use of smart sensor modules improves product yield while minimizing production waste. With engineering monitoring and feedback suggestions, it provides predictive alerts and prevents unexpected downtime, giving users a competitive edge in intelligent manufacturing.

The iMF 4.0 system is built on cycle time management and incorporates concepts of mold, machine, and material management, all while complying with the OPC international communication protocol. It provides real-time visibility into Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and statistics on equipment and production anomalies. The system is compatible with injection machines of any brand, enabling production managers to monitor real-time operations and quickly respond to any production issues.
