Plastic coloring "magician",a mission of excellence!

Lin Jun graduated from South China University of Technology in 1988 with a major in plastic machinery. After graduation, he got a job at Shanghai Telecom Bureau. The job was stable and decent in China, where university students were rare at that time, but Lin gave up the "iron rice bowl" a few years later and devoted himself into what he had known and learned since college, the plastics industry which he truly loved. Lin told reporters that from 1992 to 2025, he from an original technical director to fully own and run a company, he has been in the plastic industry for more  than 30 years.

Shanghai Yudi New Material Technology Co., LTD., founded by Lin Jun, was established in 1996, headquartered in Shanghai, with two large intelligent production bases in Shanghai and Zhejiang. It is a high-tech enterprise integrating research and development, production and sales of masterbatch products. Yudi mainly produces color masterbatch for coloring plastic materials such as PE, PP, PVC, PS, HIPS, ABS, PC, PA, PET ,etc, full biodegradable color masterbatch and all kinds of functional masterbatch, suitable for plastic coloring in injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, wire drawing, coating and other processing technology. It serves many industry giants in European, American and Asian markets, and is one of the first enterprises to develop and focus on customized color masterbatch business.

Mr. Lin said Yudi is developing with the Chinese masterbatch industry. The company attaches great importance to product research and development. Every year, it will invest funds to send technicians to learn new kinds of advanced technologies and actively conduct technical exchanges with European and American counterparts. So far, Yudi brand has obtained more than 60 related technical patents.In the next few years, the company's production capacity will increase by 20%, and Yudi strives to dip toes into the capital market and become a listed enterprise when conditions are ripe.

With the rise of the global "plastic limit" wave, the proportion of biodegradable plastics will be more and more, facing the inevitable trend of this industry development, Lin Jun and his team have made relevant plans. As early as July 2019, the biodegradable masterbatch products produced by Yudi have obtained the testing certificates of relevant authorities in Mainland China, Europe and the United States.

Raw plastic is colorless transparent or natural white, just making it directly into products do not have eye-catching and attractive characteristics. Therefore, giving plastic products polychromatic colors is a sacred mission for plastic processors, said Lin Jun, who along with his colleagues, is a team of plastic coloring "magicians." For him personally, this is not only the ideal, but also the passion and the mission.
