Glass-Fiber Reinforced PCR-Modified Polypropylene (PCR-PP GF)
An innovative material integrating circular economy principles with high-performance demands. It combines post-consumer recycled polypropylene (PCR-PP) with glass fibers (typically at 10%-30% mass fraction) through composite modification. This material retains the inherent advantages of PP—lightweight properties and chemical resistance—while significantly enhancing mechanical performance via fiber reinforcement:
Tensile strength: 50-80 MPa (a 200%-300% increase over non-reinforced PCR-PP)
Flexural modulus: >3 GPa
Heat deflection temperature (HDT @0.45MPa): Elevated from 70°C to >135°C, effectively overcoming strength degradation caused by molecular chain scission in recycled plastics.
