Description
ThermaxR N990 by Cancarb is a medium thermal carbon black, imparting low modulus. Provides compounds lower tensile strength and higher elongation properties. It results in low hardness.
Exhibits lower tear resistance, superior compression set and low air permeability.
Offers chemical- & heat resistance and excellent dielectric properties.
It shows very low sieve residue values, minimizing the potential for non-carbon particulate contamination.
Used in rubber goods such as belts, diaphragms, expansion joints, gaskets, hose, moldings, engine mounts, O-rings, profiles, rollers, seals, sealants, sponge, tires, tubing and wiper blades.
It can also be used in metallurgy such as reducing agent, solar grade silicon and boron-, tantalum-, titanium-, tungsten- & vanadium carbide.
Applications included plastics such as colorants, heat shrinkable, connectors, wire & cable, insulation jacket, refractories such as castables, refractory bricks, tap hole clay and slide gates.
