Black masterbatch is divided into carrier-based and carrier-free types:

1. Universal Black Masterbatch

? Carrier: PE (Polyethylene)

? Carbon Black Content: 5%–50%

? Applications: Injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, film blowing, pipes, sheets, etc.

2. Specialized Black Masterbatch

? Carriers: AS, PC, PA, PP, PS

? Carbon Black Content: 20%–48%

3. Carrier-Free Black Masterbatch

? Compatibility: Suitable for all engineering plastic modifications

? Carbon Black Content: 50%–80%

Carbon black is produced from anthracene oil and classified into:

‧ Furnace Black (most common)

‧ Channel Black (higher quality)

Grades (based on pigment strength):
