Oscillation Kneader

The SK3000F is a continuous kneader built on a single principle: the screw shaft rotates and oscillates axially at the same time. Its flights are interrupted, and they pass between three rows of stationary kneading pins set into the barrel wall. Every rotation therefore delivers dispersive and distributive mixing simultaneously, while the shaft's axial stroke continuously renews the material surface against the barrel.

Two consequences matter in selection. Mixing work is achieved at low shear, which suits shear- and temperature-sensitive compounds that degrade in high-shear equipment. And it is achieved over a very short processing length, so heat transfer per unit of throughput is high and the temperature profile stays under close control.

The SK3000F therefore suits sticky, pasty, viscous and highly filled materials that bridge, smear or mix unevenly when the kneading action does not match their own rheology.
