Description
Hydrobromic acid is the basic raw material for manufacturing various inorganic bromides (such as NaBr, KBr, LiBr, CaBr2, etc.) and certain alkyl bromides (bromomethane, bromoethane, bromopropane, bromobutane, etc.). In medicine, it is used to synthesize sedatives, anesthetics, and other medical products; In industry, hydrobromic acid is a good solvent for some metal minerals; Separation agent for alkoxy compounds; Catalysts for the oxidation of alicyclic and chain hydrocarbons to ketones, acids, or peroxides; As an alkylation catalyst in the petroleum industry; Hydrobromic acid is also used in the synthesis of dyes and spices. In addition, it is also used as a raw material for analytical reagents and flame retardants.
