Description
Nylon-modified carbon fiber composite material is a high-performance engineering plastic that incorporates carbon fiber reinforcement into a nylon (PA) matrix. It retains nylon’s excellent chemical resistance and processability, while the addition of carbon fiber increases the material’s rigidity and heat resistance to levels close to those of metals, while its density is much lower than that of metals. Current mainstream products mainly use PA6, PA12, or high-temperature nylon (PPA) as the base material, with carbon fiber content typically ranging from 15% to 25%.
· Automotive and transportation: Used for rearview mirror brackets, dashboards, lightweight wheels, and heat-resistant components around engines; also used to manufacture high-energy-absorbing, reusable automotive crash energy-absorbing structures.
· Drones and robotics: Used to manufacture lightweight, high-strength fuselage frames, propeller brackets, landing gear, as well as robot joints and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), effectively improving maneuverability and payload capacity.
· Electronics, electrical, and sports equipment: Applied in precision components such as relay housings and circuit boards; due to its high modulus and fatigue resistance, it is also used to manufacture sports equipment such as high-performance cycling gear.
