HYGROSCOPE P is a powder of 95 % calcium oxide to delay reactivity and is used as a desiccant in PE Masterbatch, PP Masterbatch, Rubber Compounds and PVC Plastisol, which are cured pressureless (Microwave system, LCM, Hot air or Fluid bed)
Moisture, which is present in all Plastic, PE, PP, Rubber and PVC chemicals, especially fillers, Calcium Oxide, will absorb moisture and will change to calcium hydroxide after the reaction.
HYGROSCOPE P should be used to prevent blisters and porosity in the
following Plastic and rubber processes;
‧ PE Masterbatches, PP, Masterbatches, PVC Plastisol....
‧ Pressurless continuous curing systems like Microwave, LCM, Hot air, Fluid beds,
‧ Low-pressure curing in the cable industry,
‧ In cases where the influence of humidity in rubber compounds should be suppressed.
‧ Industrial applications
