Description
Synthetic Hydrotalcite is a layered double hydroxide (LDH) used as a non-toxic heat stabilizer and acid scavenger in plastics.
In PVC, it enhances thermal stability by absorbing HCl during processing and works synergistically with Ca-Zn systems in lead-free formulations. Ideal for pipes, cables, films, and sheets.
In polyolefins (PE, PP), it neutralizes acidic residues, protects catalysts, and improves thermal resistance in raffia, thermoforming, compounds, and automotive applications.
In rubber, Hydrotalcite improves heat aging resistance and acid neutralization, especially in EPDM and halogenated rubbers.
